Pre-Prep pupils automatically progress to Year 3. Children joining the Prep Department in Year 3 from other schools are asked to sit the Pocklington Prep School entrance assessment. The assessment is held on Saturday 18th January 2020: beyond this date, if places are still available, parents can arrange individual assessment days through the school office.

The Head of Pocklington Prep School may award a Scholarship, or Exhibition, to a pupil who demonstrates genuine high achieving capabilities. Sample questions from previous years are published in a booklet available from the School Secretary. Registration simply signals to the schools admissions office that you wish to proceed with arrangements for entry, including the entrance assessment, and guarantees that you will automatically be contacted at the appropriate time with details of the entrance assessments and other entry arrangements along with information about the school that may be of interest, including Open Mornings and Events.

Offers of places are generally made as soon as the entrance assessment results are known. Offers are normally time sensitive and should be accepted by the deadline in the offer letter. On acceptance of an offer, parents must complete and return the parent/school agreement a copy of which will be sent to you.
